We are delighted to announce the launch of our New Year edition, packed with a wide range of articles on career issues, health and wellbeing, style and lifestyle. This month's edition includes more interviews with inspirational women - it has been great to hear so many worthwhile stories again. The more we talk to people around the country, the more we discover yet more good-news stories to share and celebrate.

In You and Your Career this month, we talk to Ingrid about her career as a primary school teacher and some of her aspirations and challenges. You'll love reading her "funny stories!" We also include articles on how to plan effectively and how to use the 80-20 Principle to focus on the important things at work, rather than those things which can so easily distract us!

In You and Your Life, we talk to Jayne from The Blurt Foundation about their positive and proactive approach to tackling the challenges of depression and about the vital mentoring, information and support services they provide. We also share ideas on how to create your "Perfect Day" (a great idea in rainy January!) and how to make sure that your friends are for life - not just for Christmas!

This month's Woman of the Month is Andrea McGregor and we profile her work as a tutor for people with learning disabilities. We continue with our new feature, Vicky's Views, as Vicky gets ready for her first practical work at a London veterinary hospital.

We discuss the challenges of gluten sensitivity in this month's You and Your Health section, where we also talk to Dr Spiezia from Inlight Organic Skincare about maintaining healthy skin and the benefits of using natural products. We also discuss the benefits of "boot camps".

In You-Nique, we talk to the inspirational Angel Sinclair about her campaign to raise the profile of a wider, more diverse and inclusive range of models and to move away from the traditional images of "perfection." We also discuss the fun involved in "swishing" and things to bear in mind when wearing black.

In this month's Women Around the World, we include various examples of how New Year is celebrated in different countries, along with some of the key traditions and typical foods eaten! In Favourite Places, we profile the beautiful and multi-faceted city of Edinburgh.

Whatever your own life or career passion is, we hope you will find all these stories as motivating as we do. They really do focus on the benefits of making the most of life! We'd love to hear from you with your own stories or those of other women you think we should feature in our future editions. We wish you all an inspirational New Year!
